California Fishing Report Feb 3, 2006 - We got into them in 650 ft. There was four of us. We caught 25 and I caught half of them using the 2.5 lb jig and LED flashing light. I put mine in daylight for 1/2 hour before fishing then added the LED flashing light, am sure in combination it was a killer setup. the LED light has that intense penetrating strobe brilliance (Campy used the other single battery light you sent and I still out fished him. Both lights performed well at 650 + ft). They were coming up to the boat following ones caught. On one of my hook ups, other squid attacked it and severed the head off the body. Then, they attacked another guy's squid severing the head from it and other squid in the water were attacking the head.
California Fishing Report December 13, 2008 - Jon - We used your jigs last Wednesday and they worked great. So great I just ordered two more.
We caught 22 1/2 Giant Humboldt's and brought the school up from 1000' using the 2 1/2 lb jig with an LED light. I had other jigs down but that was the one that hooked up first and brought the school to the boat. I also saw my first triple on the same jig, actually it was two 35 lb squid and a half eaten one. All were hooked on the jig by only a few tentacles and they did not pull off. Can't wait to get the new ones to retire my other jigs.
